CUSTOM WEAPONS
For experienced individuals, we offer individually customized weapons. Are you getting a weapon for competition (light and fast), or for practicing contact drills (hard and strong)? How about a showpiece that uses beautiful rare woods? We will assist you in making these choices - just call us.

ONLINE STORE
For individuals and dojo owners in Canada needing good quality weapons and accessories at low prices. Most of our products are made in Canada. The link is at the top left corner.
Please send us your requirements. Tell us your preferred length in inches or centimeters. Standard diameter is one inch. Let us know if you have very small or very large hands - we can adjust the diameter for you. Note that we do not taper the ends of our bos. Your initials can be stamped into the end of the bo.

This is a white oak bo. Canadian white oak is a very strong wood, suitable for weapon on weapon drills, but light enough for kata performance.
Dealing with age and sore joints? (like me) Consider a walnut bo. It is best suited for performance, and is not really hard enough for weapon on weapon drills. Other exotic tropical woods may be available, If you have something in mind, contact us to discuss.

How do you decide what wood to choose for your custom made weapon? Do you like lighter or darker colours? Do you like to see interesting grain patterns? Will you use your weapon just for performance, or also for contact drills? This picture shows 5 popular species of wood I like to use, arranged from dark to light in colour. The number you see on each wood is a relative strength factor - the higher the number, the stronger the wood.

Made in the traditional Okinawan style, this Eku is finely balanced for easy handling. Please send us your desired length. The standard length is the distance from the floor to your mouth.

These are some of the exotic tropical woods that can be considered when ordering an eku or a pair of tonfa. Many of our clients like to use an exotic wood on the bottom of a square 2-wood tonfa (see below). A few of these woods are expensive - contact us for a quote.
Left to right - Zebrawood, Cocobolo, Canarywood, Ziricote, East Indian Rosewood, and Paduak.
Based on traditional Okinawan designs, these tonfa can be ordered with either round or square bodies. The standard wood is white oak. Other woods, including exotic tropicals, are available.

White oak is the traditional Okinawan wood for kobudo weapons.

This photo shows how to find your tonfa sizing. Note the "height" measurement is up from the tonfa body to the base of the knob on the handle. The "length" is measured from the back surface of the handle to the back of your elbow, when it is bent 90 degrees.

This traditional Okinawan design combines white oak and purpleheart, for those who prefer the "square" tonfa shape. Other woods such as tiger maple and exotic tropical woods are available for those seeking something unique. Ask us for a quote.
